Sowed onions (3 rows Jas. [Long] Keeping). 2 oz. seed suppose to do 200 feet but only did about 100, no doubt because I sowed too thick. Today cold, overcast & windy, with some rain in the afternoon.

17 eggs.

If one farmer sowed 2 oz of onion seed for 100 feet, how far could two farmers sow with half thickness?

Still, one hundred feet of onions! I fear another glut coming on.

This is my mother’s 25th birthday. Happy birthday mum! She is joining the ATS as a shorthand typist and will soon be on her way to overseas adventures.
