Has he ever mentioned specifically what he’s doing with these eggs?
Do he and his wife eat them, or does he sell or trade them for other things, milk, bread…
For a survivor, the egg is not the continuity of nature?
This ability to produce life with almost nothing so near the desert..
Within 2 months, 102 eggs, exciting, is not it?
Happy new year 1939 Mr Orwell.
All my respect to Ms. Eileen.
The Blair’s have the Lemon Tarts kiosk at the Bazaar.
I was wondering what Hercule Poirot was doing for the week of December 22-28 1938. I found a log of that period here. The first page or two quickly reveal why I mention it and the fact that I first read it (and every other available) in 5th or 6th grade (’60 or ’61). Yes, I had a secret flashlight for clandestine reading.
If this blog isn’t mind-expanding, I don’t know what is.
Happy New Year!
May God Bless You and Yours
And I hope we’re all still here enjoying for the duration…..and beyond…..
Step by step the longest march
Can be won can be won
Many stones can form an arch
Singly none singly none
And by union what we will
Can be accomplished still
Drops of water turn a mill
Singly none singly none

I love that. Brings him that much closer, y’know.
It deserves a scan, though. Just curious as to the correction method. A simple strike-through? A wavy strike? Furious over-scribbling? Wite-out® brand correcting fluid?
Ok, probably not the latter.

Thank you, it’s great!

Happy New Year George whereever you are !!
Rhythm of counting
Eggs or years, it’s all the same:
Measure out our lives
Step by step the longest march
Can be won can be won
Many stones can form an arch
Singly none singly none
And by union what we will
Can be accomplished still
Drops of water turn a mill
Singly none singly none
