    Egg price inflation continues.

Steve, it would be an interesting observation to match the ‘war mood’, but I haven’t found out how you reach the conclusion. Orwell got 2 pounds(i guess) per score , then heard of 3/4 pounds per score – which probably means 3 to 4 pounds, not three quarters. Now he gets 3 pounds. He might just as well have renegotiated.

  3. Alexander says:

aha, may 27th, 1/10 per score. in pound 10 shillings then? Or one shilling 10 pennies?

  4. Alexander says:

And now I know. It’s one shilling 10 pennies, or about 9 pence in the new units.
