No thaw. In the afternoon violent & very cold wind & a little snow.
According to my source in Colchester, Essex (83 miles [133 km] to the northeast, where a foot of snow will fall today and will continue to fall) this is the coldest winter in 45 years.
“This” being “that” winter or “this” one?
The short answer is, “Yes, the two words are dynamically interchangeable in the context of the post. When a brain receives a signal via the optic nerve of the word ‘this’ said brain projects a multi-dimensional image of ‘this’ winter in all directions simultaneously onto the interior of it’s containing skull. Substituting the ‘that’ for ‘this’ in the preceding sentence will not change the resultant projection.”
The long answer is, “Yes, I, too, often confuse ‘this’ and ‘that.’ I do it on purpose involuntarily. It’s the Wormhole, you see. It has that effect; at least, that’s how it affects me.”
I hope this answers your question.
