I’m sure that the Nazis have an adequate replacement lined up. E.B. is recording more personal opinions in his secret diaries these days to compliment his encounters and observations. Do you think he suspected that most of the world would one day be able to access these private thoughts day by day? I’m sure it would not have surprised him.

One of my operatives suggested that Eric Blair is an excellent subject for psychoanalysis. He wonders if Blair isn’t a throwback to the early days of the Angle, Saxon and Jute tribes, circa 1,540±. My op thinks he could imagine Eric with a double-edged sword held high while standing in a pool of blood and guts, surrounded by explosions, screams and flames. I fired the op.
